King Charles could use secret weapon to rectify issues with Prince Harry and Meghan
King Charles may enlist his “no-nonsense” sister, Princess Anne, to mediate the ongoing rift with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, at least according to a royal expert.
The 75-year-old monarch is currently battling an undisclosed form of cancer while also dealing with the estrangement from the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who reside in Montecito, California.
As Charles undergoes treatment, royal columnist Sarah Vine believes that Anne, 73, could be the “secret weapon” to reunite the feuding family.
“I think we should send Princess Anne to deal with Harry and Meghan… because if you got a call from Princess Anne, you’d sit up jolly straight,” Vine declared.
“We know how no-nonsense she is,” Elvin agreed.
Princess Anne, known for her diligent work ethic, has reportedly always had a soft spot for her nephew.
However, Anne is said to be upset by Harry’s recent actions, including his decision to publish his tell-all memoir, “Spare,” in 2023.
Royal expert Jennie Bond told OK! Magazine last year that despite Harry’s negative portrayal of the family in his book, Anne will always love him.
Princess Anne is a very straight-down-the-line and blunt sort of person,” Bond said.
“She says what she thinks, she doesn’t pretend anything. She is probably like her late mother, Queen Elizabeth, who could always compartmentalize everything she was told.”
“However, Anne was “absolutely furious with Harry for upsetting her mother, his grandmother, so much in her last years.
“She is angry at the damage he’s done to the royal reputation because she works so hard.”
