Travis Kelce’s TV Co-Star Makes Her Opinion of Chiefs Star Extremely Clear
Travis Kelce’s “Grotesquerie” co-star Niecy Nash-Betts spoke about her working relationship with the Kansas City Chiefs star.
In an exclusive interview with Rolling Stone, the Emmy winner talked about being on Ryan Murphy’s horror drama after she took on the role of heavy-drinking detective Lois Tryon.
Other than the show’s amazing lead stars, the public was also drawn to Kelce’s presence after landing his first acting job.
The Chiefs tight end took on the role of Eddie Laclan, an orderly at the small-town hospital where Detective Tryon’s husband Marshall was being treated.
When asked about the veteran NFL player, Nash-Betts revealed her close relationship with Kelce.
“I love Travis. We just got off the phone together,” she said
The award-winning actress also shared how Kelce is determined to succeed as an actor, particularly with the challenge of his complex character.
He shows up with an eagerness. It makes you remember when you were a fresh actor starting out and you were so excited to be a part of the world and get baptized into whatever these scenes are,” the actress added.
Other than the three-time Super Bowl champion, the “Grotesquerie” lead star mentioned how much she loves Kelce’s family, especially his mother, Donna.
“I love his family. I love his mom; Mama Kelce is my girl. I’m a fan of his [podcast] with his brother, Jason,” she said, referring to their weekly podcast channel with the former Philadelphia Eagles star.
Lastly, Nash-Betts couldn’t help but fangirl over Kelce, expressing her excitement to see him back on the field.
