Travis Kelce’s Mom Hints at Wedding Bells as Chiefs Fans Send Congratulations

A celebratory buzz is sweeping across Kansas City—not just for the upcoming NFL season, but for something far more personal and joyous.

As the Kansas City Chiefs prepare for the final stretch of their offseason training, one of their standout players appears to be preparing for more than just football. While fans need not worry—Travis Kelce is not leaving the Chiefs or the NFL—he is reportedly preparing for a new chapter: marriage.

The news came to light through a heartfelt post by Kelce’s mother, Donna Kelce, on her X (formerly Twitter) account. In the tweet, she revealed that Travis is set to marry his long-time partner, pop superstar Taylor Swift.

> “It’s officially wedding season!! My son is getting married in Miami on my 20th wedding anniversary and my late mother’s birthday. It’s about to be a time!!” she wrote.

According to the couple’s wedding website and Donna’s announcement, the ceremony is scheduled for June 28th in Miami, a date that holds sentimental value for the Kelce family. Details about the wedding remain scarce, but it has been confirmed that the event will be private and adults-only.

The couple has maintained a low public profile since reportedly beginning their relationship in February 2024. Fans first speculated about the romance when Taylor shared a post from Super Bowl LVIII, captioned, “Super Bowl LVIII ❤️,” showing her support for the Chiefs—and presumably, Kelce.

This isn’t the first time Travis Kelce’s mother has drawn attention on social media. Earlier this year, she publicly defended her son, Nazeeh Johnson (often confused with Kelce due to mixed reports), following backlash over his contract renewal. In March 2025, Johnson was re-signed by the Chiefs for a one-year, $1.9 million contract. Amid criticism from fans, Donna responded passionately to comments on social platforms, including Chiefs fan site Arrowhead Live, which called for an end to the negativity.

She responded directly to critics, saying:

> “Who cares!! The Chiefs have spoken, and I am loving this!! Keep talking, please—it means y’all are paying attention! We appreciate you.”

She didn’t stop there. In a bold message to online trolls, she added:

> “To all the HATERS, thank you for all the support! We appreciate you for making my son work even harder!! Let’s go, Chiefs!”

With wedding bells ringing and training camp on the horizon, Chiefs fans have plenty to celebrate—on and off the field.
