Travis Kelce Talks About the Effect Taylor Swift’s Music Taste Has on Him

Travis Kelce is impressed by Taylor Swift’s ability to examine and pull from numerous music genres, and that talent has left an indelible effect on the three-time Super Bowl winner. “Man, I’ll tell you what. The London shows, I think she’s at Wembley eight times, which is mind-blowing that she can do that many shows in one stadium and fill that thing up,” Kelce gushed. “I played at Wembley once and I don’t even think we filled that thing up.” Swift, who later this month is dropping her 11th studio album, The Tortured Poets Department, will perform at London’s 90,000-seat-Wembley Stadium on June 21-23 and then again on Aug. 15-19. Every show is sold out. Meanwhile, Kelce and the Chiefs played the Detroit Lions at Wembley Stadium in November 2015. But while the Chiefs trampled the Lions, 45-10, in that London showcase, they couldn’t sell out the game, drawing only 83,624.

Items from my youth. “My high school pep band used to play ‘SpottieOttieDopaliscious’ by Outkast,” Kelce said.

“In addition, Lil Wayne and 2 Chainz had a song called ‘Duffle Bag Boy’ that I really liked. I play anything, including old school jock jams from my childhood. It travels all over the place. There is obviously a range of music. I really can’t choose one item.”
