Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes Are Opening a Steakhouse with ‘Subtle Nods’ to Their Careers — See Inside
Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes are teammates on the field — and now, they’re partners in the restaurant industry.
On Thursday, the Kansas City Chiefs star players announced that they are opening a restaurant together, a steakhouse called 1587 Prime. The name is a combination of both of their jersey numbers.
Described as the “ultimate experiential dining destination,” the new business venture will be in the Loews Kansas City Hotel. Global hospitality group, Noble 33, is partnering with the athletes to bring 1587 Prime to life. It has an opening set for early 2025.
We’re excited to be a part of this journey with Noble 33 to create a one-of-a-kind dining experience, and what better place to start than our very own Kansas City,” Kelce said in a statement.
The massive modern steakhouse will take up 10,000 square feet and span two floors. 1587 Prime will house several private dining rooms, a cutting edge chef’s kitchen, and an impressive meat display, all of which will tie in more “hyper-subtle nods” to Mahomes’ and Kelce’s football accolades.
Travis and I have become frequent visitors of Noble 33 restaurants in other cities so it only made sense to bring something special to our own community in Kansas City,” Mahomes added.
In September, Kelce visited the group’s Mēdüzā Mediterrania in New York City. And both Kelce and Mahomes have visited Toca Madera in Las Vegas.
