Sofia Vergara Goes Comfortable in Birkenstocks While Out in Los Angeles

Sofia Vergara wore a cozy pair of slides on Thursday afternoon while out in Los Angeles with her puppy. The actress chose a pair of Birkenstock Papillio sandals.

Typically known for wearing dress shoes — such as the classic sheer black pair of pumps she wore on “Good Morning America” in January while promoting her Netflix film “Griselda” and the Amina Muaddi PVC platforms she fashioned this past August while filming a new season of “America’s Got Talent” alongside co-star Heidi Klum in Los Angeles — the actress chose to keep it casual this go-round while strolling the streets of Pasadena with her furry companion.

The “Modern Family” star prefers flat sandals, ankle boots, and platform sneakers for her relaxed outings, counting Puma’s Cali wedge sneaker as one of her favorites. Vergara has also recently been spotted wearing Dior’s D-Player high-tops, considering the brand alongside Christian Louboutin, Jimmy Choo, and Saint Laurent, amongst others, as several of her favorite go-to footwear designers

Vergara slides, crafted in a solid all-black color, featured two thick buckled straps across the upper portion of the shoe and a padded cushioned midsole for extra comfort. Simple, laidback slides have become a popular staple when it comes to athleisure footwear over the course of the past decade.

Many brands, designers included, have created their own variations of the model. Givenchy has a pair of black logo rubber sandal slides available for $295. The shoes are crafted with rubber and feature a platform rubber sole, open toe and vamp strap. The Givenchy logo is present on the strap and sole, and a molded footbed is built-in for comfort while walking.
