Tension Brews Between Taylor Swift and Brittany Mahomes, Reports Suggest
The atmosphere might be a bit tense for Taylor Swift and her boyfriend Travis Kelce, as rumors swirl about a potential rift between the pop star and Brittany Mahomes, wife of Kelce’s Kansas City Chiefs teammate Patrick Mahomes.
Since becoming involved with Kelce, Swift seemed to have formed a close bond with former women’s soccer player Brittany, who married quarterback Patrick last year. During a segment on 98.5 The Sports Hub’s Zolak & Bertrand radio show, a caller named Jake claimed to have insider information that Swift would be attending the Chiefs’ game against the New England Patriots at Gillette Stadium in Massachusetts. Jake also hinted at tension between Swift and Mahomes, though he couldn’t provide a reason for it.
Celebrity gossip platform Deuxmoi further fueled the speculation by sharing a clip of the radio segment on their Instagram Story, suggesting a distancing between Brittany Mahomes and Taylor Swift. They also shared a message from a follower claiming that Brittany may have leaked details to tabloids after hanging out with Taylor.
If true, this situation could complicate things for close friends and teammates Travis and Patrick. However, there didn’t appear to be any signs of drama when Swift celebrated her pre-birthday with Travis, Brittany, and Patrick, partying together until the early hours in Kansas City.
Brittany had seemingly secured a place in Swift’s inner circle, joining the likes of Selena Gomez, Blake Lively, and Gigi Hadid, after being spotted dining with Swift in September. They’ve also been seen together at various events and even have a secret handshake.
