Princess Kate’s return to royal duties has Kensington Palace working ’round the clock’ on secret plan
Princess Kate’s return to royal duties has Kensington Palace working round the clock, according to a source.
The Princess of Wales has not undertaken any royal duties this year with her last engagement coming in December 2023.
Princess Kate underwent abdominal surgery in January 2024 and has been recovering over the last two months following the significant operation.
Kensington Palace outlined the royal’s recovery timeline during their statement confirming the abdominal surgery in January.
The Palace indicated that Princess Kate would not return to public duties until Easter.
The Princess of Wales looks to be on track to make her first public appearance across the Easter weekend or just after the holiday.
According to reports Kate has not ruled out making a return on Easter Sunday during the Royal Family’s traditional walk to church.
However, Kate is not expected to return to public duties until the week beginning April 15.
According to the Mirror, two former aides have been contacted by the team tasked with organising Kate’s return to royal duties for advice.
An insider told the publication: “The teams are working round the clock to devise the Princess of Wales’s back-to-work plan after weeks of immense pressure.
“They all know that the world will be watching after weeks of heightened speculation and often outlandish commentary on social media.”
The Royal Family is set to take a three-week break for the Easter holidays from March 22.
