Post Malone Joins Eminem, Beyoncé, And Taylor Swift With His New No. 1 Album
Post Malone is back on top of the Billboard 200 this week with his new album F-1 Trillion. The set blasts in at No. 1 on the list of the most-consumed full-lengths in the country with one of the largest debuts of the year. As it arrives, the multi-genre musician joins some of the biggest names in the industry in one specific manner.
F-1 Trillion debuts at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with exactly 250,000 equivalent units, according to Billboard. The set is just the sixth so far in 2024 to launch atop the tally with a quarter-million copies shifted—a sum that remains out of reach for even some major musicians.
The largest debut of the year is, by far, Taylor Swift’s The Tortured Poets Department. The singer-songwriter’s latest set opened at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with 2.61 million equivalent units. That’s more than 10 times as many copies as F-1 Trillion managed in one of the most impressive showings of the year.
In the months since Swift dropped The Tortured Poets Department, the title has continued to move an impressive number of copies every week. That success is thanks in part to the popularity of its lead single “Fortnight,” a collaboration with Malone. The set has ruled the Billboard 200 for 15 nonconsecutive periods, and it managed more than a quarter million units in at least five of them.
