Melissa Barrera & Jenna Ortega Reunite With ‘Scream’ Cast Following Exits

Melissa Barrera and Jenna Ortega reunited with the Scream cast at MPTF’s 17th Annual Evening Before Gala.

Barrera and Ortega reassembled the “Core 4” that included Jasmin Savoy Brown and Mason Gooding, who have been together since the film franchise’s reboot with 2022’s Scream V and 2023’s Scream VI.

The reunion also included cast members Liana Liberato, Tony Revolori, Jack Quaid and Barrera’s on-screen father and OG Ghostface Skeet Ulrich. See the video below

Barrera was dropped from Scream VII after the star shared a social media post about the Israel-Hamas conflict. Spyglass Media believed Barrera’s stance on the conflict was antisemitic and said in a statement, “We have zero tolerance for antisemitism or the incitement of hate in any form, including false references to genocide, ethnic cleansing, Holocaust distortion or anything that flagrantly crosses the line into hate speech.”
