King Charles regrets this one thing about Prince Harry’s upbringing
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle stunned the world just a couple of weeks into 2020, when Buckingham Palace announced that Harry would step away from Royal duties.
Since King Charles’ and Princess Kate’s cancer diagnoses, Harry has entered back into the fray. He still has not come back to the Royal Family officially, but he’s in the picture again.
With King Charles undergoing a tough moment, it has allowed deep reflection on his relationship with Harry. According to Royal expert Ingrid Seward, Charles regrets not being more strict with Harry throughout his childhood.
Prince Harry and King Charles were very, very close. They got on incredibly well. I think Charles probably regrets that he wasn’t strict with Harry and William. I think Charles probably regrets that he wasn’t a bit stricter, because it might’ve given both boys a few more boundaries. Children all need boundaries, and I don’t think they had too many.
The relationship between Charles and Harry deteriorated as Harry grew older, and it finally hit a boiling point in 2020.
Now, Harry plans to see his family much more often. That’s mainly due to Charles’ diagnosis, but Harry recently mentioned that he loves his family and that he’ll “stop in and see my family as much as I can”.
