Kate Middleton and Prince William Are Spending Easter With King Charles in Sandringham
Kate Middleton is taking time to rest and recover amid her cancer diagnosis and chemotherapy treatment, and will reportedly spend the Easter holiday in Sandringham with her family, as well as King Charles.
Princess of Wales was seen departing Adelaide Cottage by helicopter with Prince William, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis. The family left on Saturday (March 23) and are understood to be traveling to Anmer Hall, their country home located on the Sandringham estate.
There was previously speculation that Kate could step out in public on Easter Day, but Harper’s Bazaar reports that she’s unlikely to do so. A palace insider told the outlet, “The Princess will return to official duties when she is cleared to do so by her medical team. She is in good spirits and is focused on making a full recovery.” They added that William “will continue to balance supporting his wife and family and maintaining his official duties as he has done since the start of the year.”
Kate announced her diagnosis in a video on March 22, saying in part “In January, I underwent major abdominal surgery in London, and at the time, it was thought that my condition was non-cancerous. The surgery was successful. However, tests after the operation found cancer had been present. My medical team therefore advised that I should undergo a course of preventative chemotherapy, and I am now in the early stages of that treatment.”
