Simone Biles and Jonathan Owens will have something nice to look at once their Texas home is fully built.
In a series of Instagram Story posts on Monday, the Olympic gold medalist showed photos of the property’s stunning waterfront view. Biles has been documenting the construction process on social media since September 2023.
The first photo showed her NFL star husband standing at the home’s entrance with hands up in the air. The picture showed a ladder, pieces of wood, and other construction materials inside. Two large windows gave a peak at the water and trees outside.
In the second image, the Green Bay Packers player stood on the home’s roof, looking out at the water. Biles also photographed her husband in a room with multiple scaffold towers and a canvas drop cloth on the ground.
The gymnast gave her social media followers a more detailed view of the home’s interior on Saturday, including her large walk-in closet with plenty of storage space and a kitchen.
Biles has not been afraid to chronicle all the ups and downs of the building process. In November 2023, she told her fans that there had been a slight setback.
“Yesterday I was here from 11am-5pm…..🥴. I thought it was going to be a 30-minute thing bc I had no clue what I was walking into,” she shared in a video uploaded on her Instagram Story that showed the home’s high ceilings.
Although she did not specify what caused the delay, she said she “made progress” after calling her dad for backup.
“Called my dad for backup yesterday bc I panicked! but I’ve made so much progress & I’m so proud of myself. Jonathan will deal with the end result oops……..I hope I did it decently & thought of all the things,” wrote Biles in another upload.
Biles and her husband tied the knot during a courthouse ceremony on April 2023 and jetted off for a second ceremony in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, that May.
Biles attended many of Owens’ games throughout the NFL season. In January, she paid tribute to him by sharing a photo of a quote from the @3amthoughts Instagram account that read, “To my man: I just want to tell you that I love you the most, and I will continue to love you. I will always stand by you. I will always be there for you. I am so proud of everything that you’ve accomplished and what you’re about to accomplish. Thank you for loving me.”
