Here’s Why Adele Is Suddenly Pausing Her Las Vegas Residency
Adele is unexpectedly pausing her Las Vegas residency, announcing the news on Instagram and revealing that she’s recovering from a sickness and needs to take a break for vocal rest. Which, understandable!
Sadly I have to take a beat and pause my Vegas residency,” the singer explained in her statement to fans. “I was sick at the end of the last leg and all the way through my break” Adele added that “hadn’t quite gotten the chance to get back to full health before shows resumed,” explaining that she’s “sick again” and that it’s “all taken a toll on my voice.”
Apparently her period of vocal rest is on doctor’s orders, and she’s already working on rescheduling the shows. Adele will be on vocal rest for the remaining five weeks of this leg of the residency, and is postponing shows on March 1-2, 8-9, 15-16, 22-23, and 29-30. She captioned her post, “I love you, I’ll miss you like mad and I’m sorry for the inconvenience.”
Fans have already flooded Adele’s Instagram with well wishes, dropping encouraging notes like:
“after 80 shows you already deserve a rest”
“you’ve been going HARD AF for 35 PLUS WEEKS!!!! Please REST your body & vocal cords.”
“That angel voice has to be recovered, take care of yourself.”
“Your health and well being is what matters most”
“It happens. The most important thing is to take care of yourself and your instrument.”
