Greatest shooter we’ve ever witnessed!” Stephen Curry receives sky-high praise from former NBA legends.
Former NBA stars Raymond Felton and Theo Pinson heaped praise on Stephen Curry for his three-point greatness in the NBA.
Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry has undoubtedly made his mark in the NBA as the greatest shooter the league has ever seen. He single-handedly brought about the three-point revolution in the NBA. Before Curry won his first championship with the Warriors, the league primarily focused on mid-range shooting. The Golden State Warriors, with their pace-and-space basketball, were certainly the pioneers of this three-point revolution.
Recently on the ‘To the Baha‘ podcast, Raymond Felton and Theo Pinson talked about Stephen Curry. They discussed the ongoing debate about whether there will ever be a better shooter than Curry.
Felton noted that Curry has made all kinds of shots, from game-winners to half-court heaves, and has done it all. Felton went on to say that Curry has hit every type of shot imaginable and firmly called him the best shooter in NBA history
Later in the conversation, Pinson shared his opinion, saying that he would be genuinely shocked to see Stephen Curry or Kevin Durant miss a shot. He also mentioned that Curry’s “Splash Brother,” Klay Thompson, is close to reaching the same status as Curry
Pinson highlighted Durant’s excellence as a shooter, particularly for his mid-range and three-point mastery. Both former NBA stars concluded the discussion by declaring Curry the greatest shooter in NBA history.
Stephen Curry’s shooting helped USA win gold
For the first time in his career, Stephen Curry represented Team USA in the Olympics this year. While Curry may be in the later stages of his career, he remains one of the league’s top players. However, at the start of the Olympics, Curry struggled with efficiency.
But in the semifinals of the tournament, Curry gave the Serbian team a 36-point beatdown to advance to the finals. In the finals, both USA and France were going back and forth against each other. In the final moments of the game, France was trying to make a comeback, but Curry launched four threes which sealed the deal for Team USA.
