Floyd Mayweather Didn’t Hesitate When Asked Who Was The Best Fighter He Ever Faced
Floyd Mayweather fought just about every possible opponent he could during his storied career.
The American competed professionally between 1996 and 2017 and in that time he won all 50 of his professional contests, 27 by stoppage.
In all, he picked up 15 major world championships across five different weight classes from super featherweight to light middleweight including the Ring Magazine titles in three of them and lineal title in four.
He beat the likes of Canelo Alvarez Diego Corrales, Oscar De La Hoya, Ricky Hatton and Conor McGregor.
His most famous bout of all came against fellow legend Manny Pacquiao. After many years of back and forth, the pair finally entered the ring back in 2015 in what was billed as the ‘Fight of the Century’ at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, but it was an event that never quite lived up to the expectations.
Mayweather won the fight relatively easily by unanimous decision after controlling it with his footwork and distance and stopping Pacquaio from landing shots. In all, he picked up 15 major world championships across five different weight classes from super featherweight to light middleweight including the Ring Magazine titles in three of them and lineal title in four.

In. a clip shared by CombatPWR, Mayweather explained why he picked ‘The Pacman’ as the best he ever faced.
“The best fighter I fought probably was Manny Pacquiao because of his movement.
He’s a hell of a fighter and I can see why he won so many fights and I can see why he’s going down as a Hall of Famer, there’s just certain moves that he makes.”
Mayweather has continued to have lucrative exhibition matches since retiring, most recently against John Gotti III. Pacquiao last fought in 2021 when he lost on points to Yordenis Ugás and though he has often spoken of a return, time is fast running out for the 45-year-old.
