He celebrated by putting a ball under his shirt following the match and revealing that he and girlfriend Isabel Haugseng Johansen are expecting their first child.
Haaland’s first goal had come on seven minutes when Slovenian goalkeeper Jan Oblak made a superb stop to keep out an effort from long range, but he could only parry his effort in the direction of Haaland, who was unmarked in the box.
Haaland smashed the rebound between Oblak’s legs with a sweetly-struck right-footed first-time strike.
