Elon Musk’s comment that Taylor Swift’s reputation decreased after receiving the 2023 Person of the Year award was considered confusing and inappropriate while the female singer was happy for the award.
According to Insider, after Taylor Swift was honored by Time magazine as Person of the Year, she shared a thank you post on X. Billionaire Elon Musk – who owns the social networking application – went to the singer’s personal page. Leave a notable comment.
The Tesla boss congratulated Taylor Swift on the award, then warned: “You face the risk of losing your reputation after receiving this award. I’m only speaking based on experience.”
Elon Musk’s comment created a discussion on social networks. “Only Elon Musk could think of punching and rubbing like this”, “Is it time for congratulations? I’ve already warned others that he’s no longer famous”, “Are you planning to be the second Kanye West to take over the airwaves?”
According to Newsweek, the Person of the Year award voted by Time aims to honor influential individuals in the past year. Taylor Swift receiving the award is completely appropriate given her success as a global artist.
