Diddy Pats Down Justin Bieber to Seemingly Check if He’s Wearing a Wire in Resurfaced Video
Sean “Diddy” Combs seemingly looked to be checking Justin Bieber to see if he was wearing a wire in a resurfaced video.
The music mogul, 54, pulled Bieber, 30, in for a hug before tapping random places on his chest in the throwback video posted by the Daily Mail on Thursday, October 10. Diddy then placed his entire hand on Bieber, and many people believe that he was checking to see if the “Love Yourself” singer was recording the conversation for authorities.
“A resurfaced video of Diddy and Justin Bieber hugging has sparked speculation that Diddy was checking to see if the pop star was wearing a wire,” the outlet wrote alongside the clip posted on Instagram. “Justin is said to be ‘disgusted’ by the allegations against Diddy, who was a mentor to him early in his music career.”
Bieber has been a hot topic of conversation amid Diddy’s arrest as the “Baby” artist has been spotted in numerous past videos with the rapper.
“So, check this out, yo. Justin – have you ever seen the movie 48 Hours? Right now, he’s having 48 hours with Diddy where we hanging out and what we’re doing we can’t really disclose,” Diddy said in a 2009 video uploaded to Bieber’s YouTube account. “But it’s definitely a 15-year-old’s dream. I don’t have legal guardianship of [Justin] but for the next 48 hours he’s with me and we’re gonna go buck full crazy.”
In 2011, Bieber and Diddy made an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, and the “It’s All About the Benjamins” artist said that he and Bieber had “become friends in a strange way.”
“I’m Big and you’re Rob,” Bieber chimed in, referencing the friendship between Rob Dyrdek and
Diddy continued, “To a lot of us, he’s like a little brother. … He’s not afraid to call and ask for advice. He’s somebody that, in the industry-wise … the record industry is a strong family. And he’s somebody that we definitely have our arms around and we want to protect him because he’s such, genuinely a nice person besides his talent. … He’s one of the greatest kids that you could ever know.” Christopher “Big Black”
Boykin.
Diddy was arrested on sex trafficking and racketeering charges on September 16 and was denied bail, meaning that he’ll likely stay behind bars until his trial, which has yet to be scheduled. According to the court documents obtained by In Touch, the grand jury alleged that Diddy had abused, threatened and coerced women and others around him to “fulfill his sexual desires, protect his reputation and conceal his conduct.”
Diddy has pleaded not guilty to all charges and maintained his innocence.
“We are disappointed with the decision to pursue what we believe is an unjust prosecution of Mr. Combs by the U.S. Attorney’s Office,” Diddy’s attorney Marc Agnifilo said in a statement after his arrest. “Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs is a music icon, self-made entrepreneur, loving family man, and proven philanthropist who has spent the last 30 years building an empire, adoring his children and working to uplift the Black community.”
Agnifilo continued, “Mr. Combs is a fighter. He’s going to fight this to the end. “He came to New York to establish his innocence. … He’s not afraid of the charges. There’s nothing that the government said in their presentation today that chances anyone’s mind about anything. He’s been looking forward to this day; he’s been looking forward to clearing his name, and he’s going to clear his name. We’re going to stand by his side as he does.”
