The Uncensored presenter, 59, has addressed their new business ventures and said the duo follow one rule – suggesting they drop their royal title “The Duke and Duchess of Sussex”.
“If they want to do this kind of thing as celebrities they can do it,” he explained. “But they can’t do it with the royal titles.
Piers continued on The Megyn Kelly Show, “They shouldn’t be using the titles of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex bestowed on them by the monarchy.”
The outspoken journalist suggested it won’t be long before King Charles will be forced to have a conversation with the pair, saying: “I hope that King Charles – who is massively distracted by his illness – will at some stage have that conversation and say, ‘You can’t keep the titles. I’m sorry.'”
Meghan and Harry stepped down from their senior roles of working royals in early 2020, with the couple then soon deciding to move from Windsor in England to Montecito in California.
Since moving from the UK to the US, the pair have rebranded themselves and have been a part of several projects from televised interviews, signing deals with Netflix and Spotify, writing books, attending A-list events and being pictured on the red carpet.
The YouTuber has since taken to Twitter and reacted to the news about the couple’s upcoming trip.
Harry will soon be visiting London in May to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games but it has been reported Meghan will not accompany him on the trip. Instead, she will join him in Nigeria.
People.com confirmed that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have accepted an invitation to visit the African country next month on behalf of its Chief of Defense Staff, the highest-ranking military official.
