BREAKING NEWS) Chiefs HC Andy Reid Unleashes Strange Comment About NFL Players & “Big Butts”

Andy Reid likes big butts, and he cannot lie.

The Kansas City Chiefs head coach has been exposed as an advocate for sizable derrieres by a former player in a recent report.

Josh Kendall of The Athletic had a piece published that looks into the NFL myth of extra cushioning having an impact on a player’s performance. There are multiple silly names for it, including “The Butt Factor” or “The Caboose Correlation,” but it appears that there’s plenty of truth to the notion that NFL teams view big butts as a sign of lower-body strength.

Kendall’s piece features a quote from former Chiefs punter Dustin Colquitt about Andy Reid. Apparently, a big butt isn’t only beneficial to offensive and defensive players the way Reid sees it, or at least that’s what he told Colquitt during an end-of-season exit meeting.

In the quote highlighted by ESPN’s Mina Kimes, Reid tells the former punter to keep his A- going if he wants to avoid getting cut.

“He’d sit down with me and be like, ‘You went to the Pro Bowl, and we don’t have much to say to you,” Colquitt recalled. “But don’t lose your butt. Punters have to have big butts. As soon as you start to look like you’re going downhill from a physique standpoint, you’re out of here. Keep that ass going.’”

Andy Reid Knows How To Make Anything Feel Like Fun
Exit meetings provide a forum for players to be appraised at the end of a season. It’s where they’re told where they went wrong and how they could improve in the next campaign.

There isn’t much to talk about when it’s a kicker being handed his performance review, yet Reid still managed to make it fun, which is why he is beloved in NFL circles.

The head coach could have simply asked the player to stay in shape, but that would have just been too boring.

There we have it. Davante Adams has officially requested a trade from the Raiders. He has quit on the team. I don’t know about the rest of you, but I am not going to tolerate quitters on this team. If you are here, you are here, and you work your tail off for the betterment of the team. I’m sure I’ll catch heat for this one, but if he’s gonna quit on the Raiders, then we don’t need him. No one is bigger than the shield.
