BEYONCÉ AND HER MULLET COVER THE LATEST ISSUE OF ‘CR FASHION BOOK’
Beyoncé is back on magazine covers – and you can thank her new hair-care line Cécred for that.
The musical multi-hyphenate fronts CR Fashion Book Issue 24, photographed by Louise Thornfeldt and Maria Thornfeldt, with styling by Shiona Turini and makeup by Sir John (two of Beyoncé’s go-to collaborators). She poses in a Luis De Javier corset and tattered spray-painted T-shirt on the cover; meanwhile, the other cover shows her donning a look from Maison Margiela and Givenchy heels.
But it’s the beauty looks, and especially the hairstyles, that are most noteworthy — fitting, given her latest beauty venture. Hairstylist Jawara created a series of different looks for the shoot, including a grey-and-black ombré mullet for the cover shot, a long, curly red look and an asymmetrical cut with choppy bangs.
While the full cover interview is not yet publicly available, CR Fashion Book dropped a few excerpts on its Instagram account, including the artist speaking to the importance of hair in her work:
Hair is actually the first step when I’m creating tours, films, and albums; being able to see the hairstyles first is what influences the sound, looks…everything,” she says.
While it’s been 10 years since Beyoncé last covered CR Fashion Book, she most recently also fronted Essence for its March 2024 issue.
CR Fashion Book Issue 24 will be available on newsstands on March 29.
