The Princess of Wales could attend a friend’s wedding in Africa at a spot close to Kate’s heart.
Princess Kate may travel for the ceremony between two of her old friends once she has recovered.
Two of the princess’s close friends are getting married in Kenya, Africa which is a special place for the Prince and Princess of Wales
Joss Craig, 29, whose father runs a 55,000-acre Lewa Wildlife Conservancy in Kenya, has got engaged to Miranda Simpson, the sanctuary’s horse-riding manager.
A friend told the Daily Mail: “Wouldn’t it be lovely if Catherine could attend the wedding?”
The princess’s attendance will be dependent on medical advice closer to the time as she continues preventative chemotherapy.
Prince William attended the wedding of Joss’s cousin, Batian Craig, in 2008 on the same day as his cousin, Peter Phillips, got married
William spent some of his gap year in Kenya before attending University at St. Andrews.
Years later, Prince William proposed to his then-girlfriend, Kate Middleton, while the pair were vacationing in Kenya.
During their engagement interview, the prince said: “We had a little private time away together with some friends, and I just decided it was the right time really.
“We’d been talking about marriage for a while, so it wasn’t a massively big surprise, but I took her up somewhere nice in Kenya.”
The prince used Princess Diana’s ring as a “way of keeping [his mother] sort of close to it all”.
During a state banquet in Kenya, King Charles affectionately recalled the moment that his son proposed to Kate.
He said: “It was here, in sight of Mount Kenya, that my son, the Prince of Wales, proposed to his wife, now my beloved daughter-in-law.”
The Princess of Wales is not attending any public engagements as she continues treatment for an undisclosed form of cancer.
