REPORT: Police ANNOUNCE Final Decision On Charges For Taylor Swift’s Dad After PHYSICAL Altercation With Paparazzi
Taylor Swift’s dad, Scott Swift, learned his fate this week.
Scott Swift will not face charges for an alleged altercation with a paparazzi photographer in Sydney, Australia earlier this year.
The incident occurred in February when Taylor Swift was performing her “Eras Tour” stops in Melbourne, Australia. Photographer Ben McDonald was attempting to get some pictures of Taylor Swift as she walked, but he had an umbrella “shoved in his face to prevent a photo from being taken” as the pop star and her entourage walked down a jetty to their vehicle, according to RTE.com.
McDonald alleged that Scott then confronted him and “took it further.”
Following the incident, McDonald filed a complaint with the Australian police, who opened an investigation that has now been closed.
The newest statement that came out this week from police was them acknowledging that they had “conducted” the investigation, and “no further police action” would be taken.
McDonad is used to this as Nicole Kidman won a court battle against him and another photographer in 2005 and got a restraining order as well after a listening device was found on her property in Sydney, according to People magazine. A lawyer for McDonald issued a statement, according to The Telegraph: “He denies emphatically he has anything to do with planting any listening device.”
