Meghan Markle and Prince Harry refuse to ‘lie low and behave’ for Royal Family, says expert

The Duchess of Sussex’s new luxury lifestyle brand is another nail in the coffin for the Royal Family rift as the palace has ‘given up thinking Meghan and Harry will lie low and behave properly’.

Meghan’s new brand American Riviera Orchard ‘soft launched’ in recent weeks and it’s thought the Duchess plans to sell all manner of things from cosmetics to yoga mats and even dog food. Meghan is expected to rake in millions of dollars for her efforts but a royal expert claims this isn’t sitting well with the Palace

Royal expert and author Tom Quinn explained: “The palace has given up thinking that Meghan and Harry will lie low and behave properly. The new brand won’t come as a surprise, and in fact, I’ve spoken to people who are surprised that something like this didn’t happen sooner. Meghan has calculated that the Kate health mystery and King Charles’ illness mean there is more attention on the royal family than usual, and that she might be able to benefit from some of that attention.”
Quinn added: “Like many Americans, Meghan just cannot understand why anyone should see that making money out of your connections is ever a bad thing. There are groans at Kensington Palace about Meghan‘s new website – for all their modernising, the role family still dislike what they see as grubby moneymaking and the fact that Meghan is planning to sell kitchen and cookery equipment is grubby in the palace’s view.”

Earlier this month, Meghan quietly launched her new lifestyle brand, American Riviera Orchard, and has already gained more than 570,000 followers. American Riviera Orchard is thought to be a lifestyle and cookery brand that will tie in with a new cooking show on Netflix and the new brand, which has only been launched with the Instagram handle and a soft focus grainy video, is expected to focus on homewares as well as makeup and skincare.

It was suggested Meghan could rake in more than six-figures in sales in the first weeks of American Riviera Orchard’s launch, but it has not been revealed when the products will go on sale. It’s also thought that Meghan will turn to her celebrity friendship circle to help launch the brand. The hard launch of her brand is yet to take place, with speculation rife as to what it will actually look like and comprise of.
