King Charles News Kate Middleton ‘will be thrilled’ by well-wishers, says Camilla
Queen Camilla waved to well-wishers as she left the Royal Maundy service at Worcester Cathedral where she stepped in for King Charles today for the major public event.
With Charles continuing his cancer treatment, Camilla is in Worcester for the event with large crowds gathering to see the royal. There was also a protest by anti-monarchists ahead of her visit, a protesters could be seen with yellow banners and flags outside the church.
The King will make his first major public appearance since his cancer diagnosis on Sunday. Officials said Charles and Camilla will be accompanied by members of the royal family at St George’s Chapel for Easter Sunday in a “show of unity”.
Queen Camilla thanked two girls at a farmers’ market in Shrewsbury for making signs for the Princess of Wales. The Queen told one of the girls who had made a sign: “I shall send this off to Catherine, she’ll be thrilled.” The Princess of Wales announced last week that she is also undergoing cancer treatment.
