Royal fans have the same complaint over Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s message to Kate
Fans are calling out Prince Harry and Meghan Markle for their message to Princess Kate following her cancer reveal on Friday evening.
The Princess of Wales shared a heartfelt message on Friday as she spoke about undergoing a course of “preventative chemotherapy” after doctors found cancer had been present during an abdominal procedure in January.
Following the announcement, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex issued a statement, saying: “We wish health and healing for Kate and the family, and hope they are able to do so privately and in peace.”
But some royal fans were not happy with the somewhat brief statement, arguing the Sussexes should have referred to Kate as “Catherine” and used royal titles in the official message.
One person wrote: “Calling Catherine ‘Kate’ what arrogant a******* these two are.” Another said: “They can keep their statement.”
A third added: “Back in the day, Harry called her Cath… wonder where Kate came from?”

Other statements from the Royal Family have referred to Kate as “Catherine”. King Charles said he was “so proud of Catherine for her courage” in a heartfelt message.
Kensington Palace captioned the video filmed at Windsor Castle as: “A message from Catherine, the Princess of Wales.”
Though the Princess of Wales is widely referred to as Kate, in official statements from the Palace she is always referred to as “Catherine”.
