Royals SPEAKING OUT Prince William & Princess Kate ‘could make public statement…there is much he wants to say’
THE Prince and Princess of Wales could make a public statement ahead of Kate’s return to public duties, one author says.
Conspiracy cranks and shameful gossips have peddled wild nonsense about Kate’s whereabouts and condition since an abdominal operation on January 16.
William and Kate are said to be “shaken” by the unfair and cruel speculation, which has included the state of their marriage.
The couple are also dealing with an investigation into three staff members at the London Clinic after they allegedly accessed Kate’s private medical records.
One royal author has written in the Daily Mail that the pair could make a statement in the coming weeks to preempt Kate’s return to public duties.
Rebecca English said the prince will want to avoid the madness but: “There is much William would like to say.
“It has been tough for him to stand by and see his wife’s reputation shredded by the court of public opinion in the way his late mother’s once was.
“For now the prince and his team are not minded to publicly react to what they describe as ‘the madness’, and feel their actions should do the talking.”
While Kate recovers, Prince William has continued with public duties visiting a homelessness project on Tuesday and soldiers on Wednesday.
English wrote that William, 41, is trying to protect his family from the intrusion into his mother’s life that took such a toll on her.
Meanwhile Kate, 42, has been working from home as she eases herself back into normal life and duties following the op.
The princess is not set to return to the public eye until after Easter, but Kensington Palace has now said she has been working away at one of her beloved projects while at home.
