Prince Harry, Meghan Markle given ‘stark warning’ amid royal family dilemma

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been warned about a significant decision amidst trials within the royal family.

Speculation abounds regarding whether the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will attend this year’s NAACP Image Awards, with input now from a public relations expert.

In 2022, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle made an appearance at the NAACP Image Awards, along with Meghan’s mother Doria Ragland. And in 2023, for the second year in a row, the couple’s Archewell Foundation teamed up with the NAACP to honour an individual who created transformational change in the digital world.

The award went to Nabiha Syed, a media lawyer and the CEO of the digital journalism nonprofit The Markup.

But amid rumours as to whether or not the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will attend the 2024 NAACP awards, a public relations guru has weighed in, who said that she was “surprised to hear the rumour that Meghan and Harry will not be attending this year’s NAACP Awards”.

Lynn Carratt from Press Box PR exclusively told The Mirror that this award ceremony is a “very important event, in particular for Meghan’s brand and the work of the Archewell Foundation”, adding how in the past the couple have made two very high-profile appearances at the awards.

She went on: “Meghan is a huge champion for people of colour across the globe and celebrating their achievements and that is a thing she can be admired for.

“I believe if they don’t attend, it would be for something else that is happening that would of huge importance for them. From a PR perspective, they should definitely be attending.”

It comes after Kensington Palace has given fresh details about Kate Middleton’s health condition and reports of a strained relationship with Prince William, fueled by conspiracy theorists suggesting that the couple may be headed for divorce due to allegations of the future King’s affair with Rose Hanbury.

“I spoke to Kensington Palace that morning…They said she’s really upset and sad that she’s caused all this trouble.” said Victoria Newton, Editor of The Sun.

“It’s time to give the Princess of Wales a break after the “unfair” backlash to her Mother’s Day photo.”
