Jason Kelce Hilariously Makes Fun of Travis After He Confuses Yoko Ono with Apolo Ohno
In the latest episode of the Kelce brothers’ podcast New Heights, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end, 34, shared his reaction about the public attention he and girlfriend Taylor Swift received while in Australia for her recent Eras Tour stop.
But the conversation took a turn when Kelce inexplicably confused Yoko Ono — singer and wife of the late Beatles singer John Lennon — with Olympic speed skater Apolo Anton Ohno.
Hey, you’re like the Beatles … Yoko Ono,” Jason told his brother, after Travis commented about “all the cameras” present when he landed Down Under.
I’m like the Beatles,” Travis responded, laughing. “Yoko Ono. Like the speed skater?”
Jason then completely lost it, and began laughing at his brother’s faux pas.
“You’re thinking of Apolo Anton Ohno,” the newly retired Kelce replied. “Oh my God, that’s f—ing hilarious.”
“I don’t even know the full story of Yoko Ono,” he said. “I know that she was with John Lennon, and that’s about the extent that I know.”
He added, “She might have been a figure skater, who knows?”
But Travis, clearly ready to move on then interjected: “Speed skater, speed skater.”
For the record, Ono, 91, is an artist, singer, songwriter and peace activist who was married to Lennon from 1969 until his death in 1980.
Meanwhile, Ohno, 41, won eight Olympic medals over three Winter Games from 2002-2010 in short track speed skating.
One detail perhaps Travis may not have known — or maybe he did? — which could explain his confusion: Ohno was raised by his father whose name is Yuki Ohno.
