Black Pumas strike again with ‘Chronicles of a Diamond’

There were more than a handful of music fans whose curiosity was piqued when they read the list of nominees at the Grammy Awards in 2021. There were the big names like Taylor Swift and Post Malone, but there was also a rock band from Austin, Texas. Black Pumas rightfully received high praise for their blend of rock and retro-soul. Although they didn’t take home a Grammy that year, they raised their profile significantly with the help of their dynamic live show.

Black Pumas are up for another Grammy this Sunday; “More Than a Love Song” is up for best rock performance. In this session, the band’s Adrian Quesada and Eric Burton talk about their follow-up, called Chronicles of a Diamond. We’ll also hear live performances of songs from the new album, recorded at C-Boy’s Heart & Soul in Austin.
