Stephen Curry’s biggest struggle playing alongside Kevin Durant has finally been exposed by a former Warriors teammate. The shocking revelation shows just how much Curry had to change his game to make it work with KD—and it wasn’t easy!
The Golden State Warriors were one of the most dangerous sides to play against back in the late 2010s era. This was mostly due to the attacking prowess of Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant, and Klay Thompson. In addition, the Warriors won back-to-back championships in 2017 and 2018. Owing to the deadly combination of Durant and Curry.
However, another former star, Shaun Livingston shared some important insight regarding the two Warriors stars. Livingston recently made an appearance on the The Knuckleheads Podcast. He spoke about the illustrious run of his side and also spilled the beans regarding Curry and Durant having a conversation in 2017.
Moreover, Durant also led the scoring charts with Curry taking a step back for his teammate. Also, Curry averaged 25.3 points that season, lower than the 30.1 he led the NBA in the previous season, but he won another title. The two stars were in complete alignment with their decisions and complimented each other well throughout their time together in the franchise.

Kevin Durant is one of the NBA’s most iconic players and has been producing regularly for years. Durant changed teams several times during his NBA career, the most successful of which being the switch to the Warriors. He won consecutive titles with them alongside another NBA great, Stephen Curry. However, he chose to willingly leave the Warriors for the Brooklyn Nets in 2019.
Unfortunately, after departing the Warriors, Durant failed to capture a single NBA title, raising some concerns. Durant once revealed in a Fox Sports interview that he has no regrets about leaving the Warriors albeit not having won anything yet. Additionally, injuries also played a huge role in Durant not winning an NBA title for any of his side’s post-Warriors
