Taylor Swift Tops One Of The Beatles’ Most Impressive Records
Taylor Swift is quickly catching up with many of the most successful artists of all time, and she regularly resets records and manages feats no one before her has been able to. This week, the singer-songwriter passes a figure set down by The Beatles many years ago as fans in America continue to keep her work close to the top of one of the most important charts.
This week, Swift has three albums inside the top 10 on the Billboard 200, the chart company’s weekly ranking of the most-consumed full-lengths in the U.S. With three more weeks spent inside the highest tier on the tally–one for each of the projects–she breaks out of a tie with The Beatles
Swift now claims the most weeks inside the top 10 on the Billboard 200 of all time, among all artists, according to Billboard. Throughout her career, and between all of her successful efforts, she has now racked up 384 cumulative weeks somewhere between Nos. 1 and 10.
Before this week, Swift was sitting just behind The Beatles, who owned this bit of history for decades. With three more frames spent inside the Billboard 200’s top 10, she passes their cumulative 382 turns in the arena.
Swift has been on an incredible winning streak for years now, adding to her total in rapid fashion. The singer has released many new albums recently, scoring several No. 1s per year for some time now. That sped-up schedule has helped her reach this milestone, but her updated output is only part of the story of how she managed this feat.
It’s not uncommon for Swift to regularly claim two, three, or even four spaces inside the top 10 on the Billboard 200. That kind of performance is rare among almost any artist, but it’s now commonplace when it comes to the “Cruel Summer” star. Each week, she tacks on two to four frames to her career total, such as she’s done again this time around
This week, Swift’s highest-ranking album on the Billboard 200 is 1989 (Taylor’s Version), which is a non-mover at No. 6. Lover comes next, at No. 7, and it is also steady. Her 2022 release Midnights dips slightly to No. 9. She also claims five more spaces inside the top 40 alone on the same chart.
