Breaking News: Beyonce picks a side and surprises favorite NCAA women’s basketball team with one of a kind gift
It was a historic year for women’s college basketball, and it turns out Beyonce was on the bandwagon like everyone else. “Me and my family watched your games and cheered you on through the entire season,” Beyonce wrote in a personal letter that came with flowers and merch. “I am so proud of you. All my love.
That’s Bey and her family!” South Carolina head coach Dawn Staley screamed with joy in a thank you video she posted on social media. “Yes, Mr. Carter! Yes, Blue, you did your thing, Blue!”
“Look at the flowers. I don’t even think they grow these here in South Carolina,” she joked, in awe of Beyonce’s gift.
“It says ‘Always Been Country.’ Well guess what?” Staley said looking at the T-shirt she was sent, while Beyonce’s new album, Cowboy Carter, played in the background.
I’ve been in the South 16 years. I’m a little country, too.”
South Carolina finally gets its flowers

Even since the Gamecocks’ 87-75 victory over Iowa in the final, that tension has been felt. Caitlin Clark appeared on Saturday Night Live, while nobody from the team who beat her got an invite. After being drafted No. 1 overall, Clark inked a shoe deal with Nike, sparking dialogue about her getting one before WNBA MVP and Champion A’ja Wilson, who graduated from South Carolina
